It is a mineral detail of carbon that is found in nature mixed with rocks and, to be used, it needs a series of workmanships like the elimination of the inerts, with physicists and chemists processes, and also the various degrees of refinement, as requested from the market.
The purities vary from 70 to 99.9%, while the granulometry goes from 5 to around 2000 microns (0,005/2,00 mm).
They are distinguished in:
– crystalline said silvery or foliated (system of hexagonal crystallization)
– amorphous
WORKING PROCESS
Main sectors of use
They are used for their particular characteristics such as: lubricity, good electrical conductivity (antistatic), resistance to acids, heat resistance, such as foundry paints, refractory products, additives for lubricants and plastic materials, paints and rubber products, abrasives, brushes for electric motors, batteries for electric vehicles, sintering of metal powders, anti-corrosive coatings, antistatic floors, explosives, conductive coatings, thermal coats for the building industry, brakes and clutches, jewelry crucibles, drawing pencils, batteries, hi-fi, and more.
